Factory Second Units
We have a high standard when it comes to the products we offer. When products don’t meet our exceedingly high standards, we can offer them to you at a significant discount.
Since our products are crafted by hand, there are occasionally small imperfections. Some of these products may have misaligned Velcro, imperfect stitching, loosely woven rubber, less rigid webbing, or other small imperfections. While these units may not be 100% aesthetically perfect, all of these units still offer the same function and convenience as the full-priced Huldit Lock Holder.
In order to offer this product at the best price possible and to reduce waste, the item will not include the original packaging.
Looking for a way to hold that pesky old bike lock without it noisily bouncing around over every bump or scratching off that fresh paint? Well, worry no more because the Huldit is your solution!
Not only does the Huldit reduce noise and scratches by putting a soft layer of fabric between your lock and paint, but it also reduces the risk of your lock falling off your handlebars mid-ride!
This device can hold U-locks and pretty much any other object of similar size/shape! It has adjustable straps to fit most types of locks or items, as well as two additional adjustable straps to fit different sized or shaped bike frames.
The device also comes with a rubber-woven strap to further secure your U-lock to your frame.
Huldit is also extremely lightweight weighing in at only 1.4 ounces!
My bike has a small frame (I'm 5.2) - Two tubes V shaped sloping towards the seat -. I had to remove the water bottle holder to make bottom of U lock (mini FoggetAI) fit with the frame and cinching strap (could be slightly longer to go around the bigger bottom tube).
It has a strong Velcro strap, very easy to mount, also easy to remove U-lock and put it back in. Light to carry. Simply genius design. I haven't tried the cable along with the U-lock yet, so I can't say anything about how it/if works with U and cable. I ordered a factory second but don't notice anything wrong.
My only worry is that it can be stolen, should somebody understand how cool it is.
Love it. Many Thanks!
I have an Onguard Brute lock, and after getting tired of lugging it around attached to my backpack, I decided to give Huldit a try. I've only had mine for a few weeks, but so far I love it!
I ordered a medium 'factory second,' and as other reviewers have said, I can't see anything wrong with it. The Huldit attaches and adjusts quite easily. My lock rattles against my frame a bit while I'm riding, but it isn't too bad. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.
It's well made, and still the only thing that will hold my Kryptonite Fahgettaboutit Mini, but the holder doesn't fit my bike properly.
The included bottom cinching strap is too short to fit around the thick down tube of my frame and the lock shackle, so it always comes loose after a few small bumps. It’s not an uncommon thickness for a modern bike.
The top tube is V-shaped and slopes downward toward the seat so the lock angles inward (which is fine) but it also slides down the tube toward the seat. I understand one-size-fits-all can’t accommodate everything, but it seems like this product was designed with older frame styles in mind. I ordered the medium, as recommended by this website for my type of lock, but there should be an option to get a longer cinching strap no matter which size holder you get.
Until I figure something out/find another strap, I have to keep the lock right at the base of the downtube with the cinching strap fastening the lock to the seat tube. It holds there, but the lock rubs on my thighs so it’s not comfortable to ride for extended periods. This would be perfect with a longer cinching strap.
Very well made, even as a “second” I could not really identify any visible flaws. It seems durable (so far, only had it a few weeks).
I have an Abus lock, which has a wider part in the U for its own attachment bracket - I didn’t measure around that part of it, so might have bought the larger size if I had noticed, but this size definitely does a good job anyway!
I have a step through frame where the brake lines go down the top and bottom metal pieces, so it was tricky to find a spot where the huldit wouldn’t interfere, but it’s very versatile. It does not fit super well alongside my water bottle cage - don’t be like me, make sure you hold the lock up and figure it out ahead of time!
All that said - this is exactly what I ordered, and learning curve aside it is very convenient and I no longer have to schlep my lock in a backpack, so I’m happy!
